- After rename the selected file uninstall your whatsapp and re-install it and select Restore option. It will restore your all chat which were deleted after the date of selected file.
Method 2. Recover Whatsapp Messages Through Software

After connecting mobile phone with your PC or Laptop via USB, enable the USB Debugging option in the mobile phone first. To do so just go to Developer option > USB Debugging and enable it.Step 1: First download Android Data Recovery Software , It will restore your all WhatsApp data like messages, images, audio and videos.
Step 2: After installing Android Data Recovery connect your mobile phone with PC or Laptop via USB.

Click here for commentsOne thing you forgot to mention is that the phone should be rooted. The default rooting module is much weak than other rooting apps. Without root access, the scanning process will be stuck on 90%.
